What gives a higher value to a vehicle?
- Low owners
- Full main dealer history
- High specification – ie optional extras such as Panoramic sunroof, sound system upgrade, alloy wheel upgrade etc
- Rare colour – however this is subjective, as the colour may be rare for a reason, such as, it wasn’t desirable to buyers when ordering the vehicle when new
- Rare vehicle – however rare vehicles can be difficult to value and sell. This sort of vehicle will usually obtain its highest offer from a specialist dealership
- Modifications – can add value to a vehicle if done tastefully with premium brands (ie exhaust, suspension, Carbon fibre) however this is subjective. A spending spree at Halfords will certainly de-value your car
- Time of year – for example you may see convertible vehicles values increase during summer and decrease during winter
